Is it that time of year again? Every January, my app dev colleagues and I sync our event calendars and try to register for as many conferences as humanly possible. Why do we pack our bags and fly in the era of online courses? There are many reasons, but let me name three: learning, networking, and traveling.
2024 was a great year for app development. Most of us were busy with IoT integrations, 5G rollouts, and mobile commerce. We’ve seen a few exciting challenges, too, mainly in the domain of foldable devices and on-demand apps. And, of course, we can’t speak about app development without mentioning AI.
So, what’s next? You can keep scrolling, or you can book a ticket and go see yourself. The following 20 app development conferences and events will bring together the best of the best from the industry and give them a platform to explore the future of mobile app development. I, for once, can’t wait to be there.
I created this event calendar so you can pick a date or double-check event information on the go. Here’s what’s on schedule in 2025.

Deep Dish Swift ingeniously combines Swift programming with Chicago’s finest–deep dish pizza. Launched in 2022 and held annually ever since, this intimate three-day event offers new insights into Swift development through keynote, dev, and indie speakers before taking them all out to a gig or a networking opportunity over a slice of pizza.
Judging by event descriptions, it seems that app development will stay on its low-code,no-code course throughout 2025. Recently founded niche conferences like Fluttercon, Flutter Heros, and Swift Connection are getting more visitors every year. Bigger events, such as AppWorld or DeveloperWeek, keep reinventing Java, UX, and AI.
One thing is for sure: it’s an exciting time for app development. If not for the industry trends, plan a conference trip to feel the creative buzz of innovation and knowledge sharing. It might help you solve an old problem or inspire a new idea.
